It is not surprising that STEM-related majors are seeing an increase in applicants and also seeing a significant drop-out rate. One main reason that many believe this happens, is that STEM subjects are considered too hard for one to manage. However, taking the time to balance both these supposed ‘hard’ classes with others and what should be a priority will be addressed to make sure burnout does not occur, while maintaining your mental health.
